Shared & org-wide habits
Share a habit with named teammates or your whole organization, publish one org-wide, and add a teammate's habit to your own.

A habit is private by default. You can share it with your organization three ways.
| Level | Pill | Who gets it |
|---|---|---|
| Private | none | Only you. |
| Specific teammates | shared | Only the people you pick. Each gets an email and can add their own copy. |
| Whole organization | shared | Anyone in your organization. Everyone gets an email and can add their own copy. |
| Org-wide | org-wide | Every member is given a copy automatically, and told by email. Admins only. |
Sharing a habit
- Open the habit's detail screen.
- If you belong to more than one organization, pick the one under Share into. Your own personal workspace is one of them, so check this is the team you mean.
- Under Sharing, click Change.
- Pick who it goes to. Share with specific teammates opens a list of everyone in that organization — tick the ones you want.
A habit has to have learned its steps before it can be shared — there is nothing useful to publish otherwise. Keep private takes it back out; copies teammates already made stay theirs.
Editing the list only emails whoever is newly added, so adding one person doesn't re-notify everyone.
Your admins can restrict who is allowed to share at all. See Organization policy.
Adding a teammate's habit
Open your organization from the avatar menu and find it under Team library, then click Add to my habits. You only ever see habits shared with you or with everyone.
The habit is copied into your account. It arrives as a draft, so nothing somebody else wrote runs on your machine before you've read it. Publish it when you're happy, and from then on it's yours: rename it, rewrite a step, put it on your own schedule.
Org-wide habits
When an admin makes a habit org-wide, every member gets a copy on their next sync, including people who join later. Copies arrive as drafts, and each member decides whether to publish and schedule theirs.
If the admin edits the original afterwards, the copies are refreshed to match — unless you edited yours, in which case your version is kept until the admin publishes another change.
What is and isn't shared
Sharing publishes a habit's definition: its name, description, steps and schedule. It never shares your recordings, your detected patterns, or your run history. Teammates run their own copy on their own machine, and their runs are invisible to you just as yours are to them.
