What is Plainwork?

Plainwork is a desktop app that follows how you move through your apps, spots the tasks you repeat, and does them for you. All local, in your real apps, and on your own machine.

How it works

1. Teach or detect. Show Plainwork a task once, or let it notice a sequence you repeat often.
2. Schedule. Choose when it runs: On demand, daily, weekly, or a custom schedule.
3. Run. Plainwork replays the exact steps in the background.
4. Approve. Anything irreversible (like sending a message or deleting a file) pauses for your OK first.

A task you've taught and scheduled is called a habit.

Private by design

Everything runs locally. Plainwork notices interaction events — clicks, typing activity, and app switches — not the contents of your work, and pattern detection happens on-device. That activity never leaves your device; only approved habits and redacted run logs sync to the cloud.
